Fiona Sloane completed her piano and violin grades whilst at school and studied music for a year at Glasgow University. She holds a diploma in piano teaching from the London College of Music is currently studying for a Masters degree in Education.

She has been teaching piano for 15 years, has been a Kindermusik teacher and teaches Kodaly musicianship classes and composition classes at an Edinburgh primary school. Her lessons tend to follow a traditional classical route, but regularly break out into areas which inspire the student including composition, group playing, jazz, pop etc. 

Fiona works with each individual student to determine their particular learning style and musical preferences and chooses age-appropriate tuition books, games and and activities to engage and inspire. She holds membership of the Disclosure Scotland scheme for the Protection of Vulnerable Groups, both adults and children as well as certificates in Autism Awareness, Awareness and Child Protection in Education.
